Helping you change lives

for young people & families in Sussex

by moving more people to support you,
using my Ethical Video Story Framework

How does it work?

Making video is easy.
Anyone with a phone can do it.
But capturing stories with the emotional power to deliver the outcomes you need is a different skill.

‍ ‍
Like diamonds, great stories need to be unearthed, shaped, & put in the right setting.

I’ve built my Ethical Video Story Framework to capture people’s lived experience and shape it
into the stories that move people to support your work and to do it in a safe, respectful way.

The framework has four steps:
Storyfinding

Understanding the story space and potential for characters.
Objectives

Identifying your key goals and the themes that will steer the stories.
Characters

Finding the people who will engage the viewers most deeply.
Storyboarding

Mapping the story arc, places & plot points that will resonate best.

I work as a partner with you to deliver the outcomes you need.

Outcomes

Amaze Sussex needed to convey the huge impact of their many services for families of children and young people with disabilities, neurodiversity or SEND.

I helped Charlie describe her journey from being an isolated single mother of a child with autism to becoming a key volunteer to encapsulate this.

Charlie’s story inspired lots of audience members at the Big Cheer for Amaze comedy night to support Amaze.

The HOPE Charity Project needed to find new sponsors to relaunch their emotional & mental health support services after COVID.

I helped Claire to share what inspired her to found the charity, train to support young people and now to offer real hope families in crisis.

Claire’s story put the Charity on a firm footing, securing outreach to partners & individuals, and financial funders.

Southern Hospice Group need emotionally uplifting and moving content to help fund the provision of their end of life services.

I helped Amy share how Martlets enabled her sister Charlie to make enduring memories for her children even as she faced her own death.

Amy’s story helped secure increased legacy fundraising, but also increased understanding of what Martlets do.

Why me?

I’ve made video professionally for 20 years, but I also know how hard life can be when a child faces extreme challenges. For our family, it was our son’s brain cancer.

The impact on him, and on all our family, has given me a perspective and motivation to focus my skills on helping you support families & young people in Sussex facing their own different challenges.

Next Step

I offer an assessment session to understand the outcomes you need and how I would use my Ethical Story Video Framework to help you achieve them. This takes about 30 minutes. There is no charge or obligation.
